WASHINGTON, DC – The American Academic Leadership Institute (AALI), in partnership with the Association of American State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), recognizes the vital need to diversify our senior leadership teams.  With this recognition, we are proud to announce the availability of fellowships to enhance the gender and racial diversity in the Becoming a Provost Academy(BAPA) and the Executive Leadership Academy (ELA).  AALI and AASCU will provide limited financial support to qualified and selected participants.

We hope that this funding will open the door of our programs to a broader participation by institutions and participants that may not have considered these opportunities in the past. To accommodate the interest in this fellowship funding and the renewed conversations on your campus, the nomination deadlines for ELA and BAPA have been extended to Friday, March 15, 2019.

Please indicate in your letter of nomination if you wish your candidate to be considered for the AALI Diversity Fellowship. If you have already nominated a candidate for either program, and this announcement has encouraged you to nominate an additional participant, AASCU will accept nominations for both candidates.

We look forward to receiving your nomination(s) by March 15, 2019.  For the BAPA brochure, please click here.  The ELA brochure can be found here.
